Submitting Gene Sequence

The user can submit the protein sequence of the query gene (a sample protein sequence is provided as example)

Submitting UniProt ID

Alternatively, the user can submit the UniProt ID of the query gene (a sample UniProt ID is provided as example)

Uploading Fasta File

The user can also upload the fasta file of the query gene.

Submitting the Query

After providing the gene, the user can start the execution of Ortholog query.

Viewing the Orthologs

After completing the computations, the orthologous genes of the query gene will be provided.

Changing Page Using Slider

Using the slider the user can navigate through the orthologs.

Navigating to Specific Page

Also the user can go to a specific page directly.

Searching with Multiple Filters

The user can search using patterns of multiple filters namely, Gene Name, Protein Name, Organism and UniProt ID.

Clearing Search Filters

The seach filters can be cleared, which will revert to the list of all the orthologs.

Identifying Outlier Genes

If the user inputs a gene that has no orthologs in NORTH database, NORTH will be able to identify that gene as an outlier gene.
